We listened to your comments and suggestions last year and have made some changes to the schedule, rules, and format.  First, the field will be limited to Fifty (50) total teams.  By competing in last years event you have priority registration over most new teams wishing to enter.  Corporate Sponsor Teams take priority over all other entries.  Last year the total field exceeded Fifty teams.  Some who competed last year will not have the ability to do so this year.  Popularity of the PTTS is at an all time high and we have many new teams already on a waiting list to register.  I urge you to act timely on returning your completed application and required materials.  If by February 15, 2007 the field is not filled we will allow new teams a chance to register.  Sponsored boats are included in the total field so some spots are already taken. 

Even though we cut the field of boats for 2007 we have yet again raised the amount of prizes and prize monies this year.  In total we will pay out nearly $250,000 in cash and prizes for the series.  One of the changes for 2007 is an additional payout for 4th and 5th Place during the regular events and Jim Beam Tarpon Cup Championship.  For specific payout information please visit our website, www.TarponAnglersClub.com .

PTTS television was once again the highest rated outdoor show in 2006 in Florida.  Many of you have told me stories of being recognized by fans during your daily life.  In 2007 PTTS television will be available in over 35 million homes Nationwide and in Canada.  Our hope is that number continues to grow and the exposure you receive from participating continues to benefit your sponsors and charter fishing business.

The PTTS will once again hold a Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament which will help to benefit the Preeclampsia Foundation.  You can find details and registration forms for the Ladies Day on our website.  Specific details on Captains Meetings, Charity Banquet, and other PTTS events will be announced in the near future.
